Best:
1. Drew Barrymore in John Galliano - this is what I would wear if I were at the globes. The dress is light, airy - like a modern Cinderella dress (ice blue). It embodies her laid back, hippie chick style, in a natural and effortless way.
2. Evan Rachel Wood - sultry vintage styling in basic black. I love anything that low cut, that is beautifully balanced with the tiered and fitted mermaid bottom. This dress looks so couture, I can’t imagine the detailing up close.
3. Eva Longoria Parker in Reem Acra - not my style at all, but it is tailored so well to her body you can’t admit it’s not gorgeous. This look is sort of typical Eva - tight, old Hollywood, and a crowd pleaser. She’s sticking to what she knows looks good - red on her skin tone is radiant, and the scalloped edge of the bust gives the dress all the detail it needs.
Worst:
1. Jennifer Lopez in Marchesa - I am so over this! Beyonce did something similar, but at least it wasn’t so Flavor of Love. JLo used to be someone who drove trends, but now she’s playing it safe with sequins and too much skin that isn’t as age appropriate or glamorous in the least.
2. Renee Zellweger in Carolina Herrera - runway that should stay on the runway. There are certain looks designers put in their shows to pull it all together, act as a loss leader, or just establish some edge, credibility, vulgarity, whatever it is they’re going for - that isn’t necessarily a wearable piece. This is not wearable - it should be on the runway with a nude model, and that’s fashion. A nude bra with it is laughable.
3. Debra Messing in Vera Wang - not my favorite person, ran into her in the halls of Vogue once and it was the most awkward 5 seconds of my life. Regardless, I’m pretty sure her stylist is still Rachel Zoe - but judging from this look she may not have done her best work. The sheen of this dress is so prom, and while the pleating is so YSL and gorgeous, it’s not done in the right way for the silhouette, and the halter neckline makes it a little cheap.

Leighton Meester (of Gossip Girl) has great style on and off the show, both credited to two very talented stylists, Eric Daman for work and Rachel Zoe for play. There are tons of snarky comments floating around the media about Rachel Zoe, but that’s because people love to hate! She obviously knows what’s going on - Leighton always looks fabulous, and that pink dress - I could die!
It’s so easy to get carried away in a sea of black during the winter, and I love black - but there’s gotta be something to break up the monochromatic monotony - and why not pretty hot pinks? If you’re afraid the color is too daring, too much - I like to think I’d rather stick out like a fashionable sore thumb than blend in!

I have no idea what Twilight is about (beyond vampires) - but I do know that people are completely obsessed with it, and that the guy in it is bangin’. So - as the lead character (Robert Pattinson) is the second coming of Johnny Depp, the starring actress (Kristen Stewart) had no choice but to take it up a notch at the premiere in her very on trend and very Fall color block Balenciaga. Enjoy the color blocking, crazy fans!

Who knew that Allentown, PA could produce something successful? Teasing - but there really is nothing in Allentown, so the fact that Amanda Seyfried hails from my home state of PA is really pretty fabulous/strange/impressive. She’s been popping up in a bit more roles since her appearance in Mean Girls (Big Love, Mama Mia) - so you can expect to see more red carpet shots of her in the future. In the meantime - I can officially say that emerald is THE color of the season, and she pulled it off effortlessly (with the help of Miu Miu and a stylist, wink).

Look at that mic! I will probably hold onto my bangs (which were cut WAY too short, and I won’t mention names), for channeling purposes now. Meow!

ASOS (As Seen On Screen) has been a go-to site since I had a freak Google search attack for thigh high boots circa my time in Roma. My first love derived from the fact that any trend you could possibly think of is offered in spades (I’m talking 10+ pages of bows, skulls, whatever your heart desires). You could spend hours on this site - which is exactly how I stumbled upon their “In The Style Of” merchandising efforts - in which you click on a classification, and the bottom of the left hand navigation lists celebrity names - where you can find a (top, dress, shoe, bag) that is either exactly what they were wearing, or a very close second at half the cost. Thank god this is a British retailer, so our boho favorites like Kate Moss and Sienna Miller are very well taken care of, but I wish H&M would get a clue already and open up ecomm - because I need to stimulate the $, not the £!
