Waahh - I could die.  Yes, that’s a cry!  There was a spread in W mag way back when - I’m thinking Fall 05 - that was a pictorial in a forest with the model wearing a lot of Moschino Cheap & Chic, along with teddy bear necklaces and crowns.  These were full on mini bears, stuffed and cuddly, strung together with satin that looked so whimsical.  Since this isn’t the most practical thing in the world, I plan on taking inspiration from the above.

A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E. Unfortunately a lil pricey for my 24 year old salary. So - I feel a DIY coming on. All you’ll really need is a sweet pair of rope wedges - with some kind of mechanism - strap, covered toe, to glue a pretty bud onto. Just remember to use fabric glue if on canvas - or you could go the even quicker route and buy a flower pin to attach. Easy peasy.

It’s like candy, icecream - the light teal baby blue and lemon drop against snakeskin is the perfect combination of a thick skin and sweet side.

The duster earring is all that’s in my head after watching Factory Girl.  Yes - I take years to watch fantastic movies that I should really run to the theatres for - it’s called procrastination, and I do it well.  Although these may tear your ear off, beauty is pain - and if I had the chance to wear 5 carats worth of diamonds, I may sacrifice an ear as well.

Great word, timepiece - obviously I’m slowly becoming obsessed with knowing the time in a chic & heavily embellished way. For a watch - this is not so out of reach ($295) - very refreshing! Design duo Badgley Mischka were in a bad biz place for some time - I worked in the same building as BM, and would often see them in the elevator (forreal). I could never remember which one was which - and thought for a split second that I should study Style.com as I was always running into them & the puppy - but then my non fashion hemisphere got the best of me.

Lucky for bankruptcy’s sake - they must have hired a new jewelry designer because their collections are now not only all over editorial - but well deserved all over editorial (which is really saying a lot). The baubles are regal, statement pieces - and rival that of Balenciaga circa Fall 09. Oh, and it’s so friggin’ cute how the face opens & closes! It’s too bad I can’t awkwardly freeze up in the elevator next to them anymore, I’d love to gush - those all too often painful moments at 550 7th ave will be missed!

Just spotted the LV ads for Resort 09 - and became obsessed with this bejeweled, bedazzled - very St. Tropez monokini from Vuitton. I still find it foreign that there is a complete season called “resort”, which my middle America raised self had no concept of upon entering FIT - yet was very familiar with 4 years later and after my time at Ralph. Pretty much anything that included lurex, gold hardware, or bling entitled a piece to a spot in the resort delivery. Resort collections are what the biz world calls “loss leaders”, in that they usually make very little money but are important to transition people into Spring. This is for the very small percentage of people who holiday after or during Christmas, and need things like bathing suits in the dead of winter. Life would be pretty sweet if I could be chillin’ on the French coast like a Bergdorf Blonde - but I’ll settle for 70 degree Austin and Hula Hut in February…for now!

This is so Serena (Gossip Girl) - I’m really down to earth and cool, but I rely on my parents to pay my rent and furnish my style.  Oh I know I’m so bitter, but it’s only because the sale price is still completely out of reach!  And thus the category “Pining Week To Date”.
