Back for round 2 - Pierre Hardy designs for budget friendly Gap. No doubt this has a lot to do with Patrick Robinson (Gap design head), and the fact that Patrick Robinson is married to editirix Virginia Smith (Vogue’s Last Look). When I think of Pierre Hardy I think of clean lines, contrast piping, and utility. I definitely wish the heel was higher - but that’s what you get with mass, it’s gotta accomodate. And - the price is also a little steep for such a basic aesthetic, I could find that shoe anywhere. I love Pierre Hardy, and have fond memories from our time together in the accessories closet - but these heels fail to impress.

I’m not sure exactly how Gap’s markdown cadence works, but in Austin I was able to snag a cream version of this cashmere cardi for $29.99! It’s still a steal at $42.99 online, as the original price is $118 - and although it’s not Ralph Lauren cashmere, it still feels super lux to the touch. I would definitely recommend running out to the store, though - the color assortment even for sale was pretty vast - I really, really wanted the bright orange to go along with the whole Tangerine & Pink vibe I’ve been feeling lately (see post: Fresh & Fruity - Fuchsia & Tangerine for Spring) - but it had a makeup stain, so be careful and shop smart! As sizing goes, the cardi’s are of the boyfriend kind - so if they don’t have your size, buying a size or two up is absolutely justifiable with some latex leggings and cinched waist belt.

Ok - working there definitely made me a biased Ralph lover for life - but c’mon this jacket is gorgeous! I haven’t actually been wearing too many jackets, but my girls in the NE say I need to address the fact that winter is happening and I’m missing it this year. Tear.
A close replica of this jacket is hard to find…yet - but there are enough jackets with ruffle & peplum detailing to hold you over until it’s at the closest H&M. (For me, sadly, that would be the next plane ride home).
