Great word, timepiece - obviously I’m slowly becoming obsessed with knowing the time in a chic & heavily embellished way. For a watch - this is not so out of reach ($295) - very refreshing! Design duo Badgley Mischka were in a bad biz place for some time - I worked in the same building as BM, and would often see them in the elevator (forreal). I could never remember which one was which - and thought for a split second that I should study Style.com as I was always running into them & the puppy - but then my non fashion hemisphere got the best of me.

Lucky for bankruptcy’s sake - they must have hired a new jewelry designer because their collections are now not only all over editorial - but well deserved all over editorial (which is really saying a lot). The baubles are regal, statement pieces - and rival that of Balenciaga circa Fall 09. Oh, and it’s so friggin’ cute how the face opens & closes! It’s too bad I can’t awkwardly freeze up in the elevator next to them anymore, I’d love to gush - those all too often painful moments at 550 7th ave will be missed!

I had a pair of GORGEOUS driving gloves - a muted pink crochet with white leather, a cropped version - that I bought from Patricia Field (when she was still in SoHo) my sophomore year. I wore these on one of the first dates my love and I had, and I remember they didn’t go with my outfit at all, and I kept spilling my mojito on them - but I had to wear them. Then, when I was studying in Rome - I don’t know when or where it happened, but I lost them and I forever hate myself for it. That’s the thing about gloves - so easy to lose yet so (painfully) worth wearing and running the risk. While mourning the loss of my gloves - my mom visited and bought me a pair from Ponte Vecchio in Florence - cream leather with a lace/crochet flower detailing on them - I’m pretty sure these are of the bridal kind but WHATEV.

Since driving gloves aren’t very warm, and don’t really serve a purpose as I don’t know anyone who drives a convertible - you may as well be economical and buy a pair that you can easily replace if you do lose them. Because really - It’s purely fashion, not necessity.

In past tense, I loved wearing my gloves on a weekend spent shopping or laying around in the park, or my dearly missed Central Park rowboats. It may be getting too cold for them in the Northeast right now, but I would always pull them out whenever a temperate day hit, or when I knew I wasn’t going to be outside for that long (i.e. cab). Now that I have beautiful Austin winters, however, I may have to invest in a few pairs (colored leather is such eye candy) - since I definitely won’t be needing any Thinsulate.

Who knew that Allentown, PA could produce something successful? Teasing - but there really is nothing in Allentown, so the fact that Amanda Seyfried hails from my home state of PA is really pretty fabulous/strange/impressive. She’s been popping up in a bit more roles since her appearance in Mean Girls (Big Love, Mama Mia) - so you can expect to see more red carpet shots of her in the future. In the meantime - I can officially say that emerald is THE color of the season, and she pulled it off effortlessly (with the help of Miu Miu and a stylist, wink).

Blair Waldorf is to my adult life what Cher Horowitz was to my tween years. Case in point, the White Party.

In GG world, this is a Marc Jacobs dress & Jennifer Behr headband. I once knew a girl at V who had the J. Behr Prada turban equivalent. For a minute I thought Omg I need it I want it I have to have it - $100 dollars later I realized I was not the intern with a private jet. That being said - see the always more interesting, Blair-worthy, alternatives below. XOXO.

All of my fabulous five readers out there will have to forgive the fact that I’m starting this GG fashion commentary a tad bit late, but I am transitioning from NYC to ATX to say the least! To make it up, to all five of you, see below article from NY Mag.
